Mette Rosencrantz has been based at Mill Creek since 1992 and offers the highest quality Dressage training. Mette is from Sweden where she was twice a member of the Swedish National Dressage Team.  She was the youngest rider ever allowed to enter Strömsholm, Sweden’s prestigious school for instructors, and eventually became the head dressage instructor there in 1980.  She also has a University degree in Physical Education instruction. Mette’s teaching skills are highly sought-after; top Dressage riders from across Southern California often trailer their horses to Mill Creek just to take lessons with her. Mette’s expertise is also in great demand across the country, so she is often invited to teach Dressage Clinics, Symposia and Dressage Expos at other riding facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

Mette has shown at the Grand Prix Level on several horses and most recently on Basquewille, who won the Grand Prix Invitational at the World Cup in 2007. Mette also has several up and coming horses, such as Taison, who is scoring in the mid-70s the Intermediare II Level and will be moving up to Grand Prix in 2011. She also has Finally, an international quality horse, who was Champion Intermediare Freestyle at the USEF Regional Finals in 2010; Taison was Reserve Champion. Both horses placed well in all of their classes at the Regionals and both qualified for and competed in the 2010 Dressage Festival of Champions: the USEF Finals in Gladstone, New Jersey. Mette’s goal is to ride in the Pan American Games in 2011 and the London Olympics in 2012.

Mette has riders and horses in training at all Dressage levels and is available for private lessons and clinics. Visit the Training page for more information about Mette’s training, clinics and lesson programs.
