New Year - New Opportunities

Every year I say and think the same.. how can it already be a new year??? I moved to San Diego In January of 2019, and it was a year of many changes. I like it very much down here, and have met new and many old friends and that I’m very happy for! But I sure miss friends and clients in Los Angeles. I have lived there for over 30 years, and I feel very much at home there. It’s also all the small things, like where to go and where to find things. But sometimes you have to try when you get the question to move, and so I did! I’m now working and running my business out of Arroyo Del Mar, home of Steffen and Shannon Peters. It’s a beautiful facility, and me and my horses are doing well!

My best, beautiful Marron got retired, and is now living a great life away from shows and is a healthy sound schoolmaster for his new rider Vance Diggens. My horse Ram is still with me and has done a couple of shows with great results! He will do his first season in the CDI small tour and I’m very excited about that. I also have a new horse that I will bring out this year. I’m planning on showing him in Grand Prix. Thanks to Cory Walkey, Jim and Robin Cathey for making that happen!! It could never have worked without their help, friendship and support, I’m so Thankful!!!! I’m very much looking forward to be back in the big show ring!!!I will do many clinics this year as well as I did last year. I’m booked solid until June, so it will be a busy spring with training, showing and clinics! I love what I do, so I’m doing it!!!

I did have to say goodbye to my wonderful precious little dog Pebbles! I can’t tell you how hard it was to see her go!!!! I miss her tons, but I pass her place where she is resting every day, so I can tell her that I love her! Squiggles is happy and still with me every day, so I’m happy I have her!!

It would be easier if I kept you all updated more often, but I don’t know how to do it all?! Maybe I have to find a personal assistant! Anna is always there to help, but when you are not together every day and living a busy life you just can’t do it all! Just do as good as you can do! Thanks to all of you for friendship and support. See you at the shows, the first CDI will be in LA 19th-22nd of March.

Keep in touch! Enjoy life!

LA Winter Dressage Show

It felt great to be back up in LA again for the weekend to compete in the LA Winter Dressage hosted by Cornerstone Dressage Event, in Burbank. This was Ram’s first show for the season, doing the Open Prix St. George and I1. Ram was super and excited to be out again, earning high scores in both his classes with a highlight of 74% in the I1. Glenda McElroy and Meaghan Mallory at Cornerstone Dressage made this National show a great start of the year! Well prepared rings with good footing, friendly and informative staff, everyone made us feel very welcome. As an add on to the show ground is the new seating are that is great for both rain and shine. P.S. It felt so home to see old friends and clients, I miss you all!!
