Stay safe and carry on

Dear All Of you!

I should have written something long ago…but as so often time went away, and the thought of doing it never happened!
Once again, not sure where to start??
For most of us, we celebrated the new year, and was looking forward to so many fun things that was going to happen in 2020. Places to go, shows to attend, clinics, friends and family to visit…Just name it. 2020 was going to be a better year, and we were so ready! We started, made reservations, had a plan, and with a snap of a finger it all went away!! How could this happen!????
I don’t have to mention all people out there who have had such a hard time! Losing so much, and will still struggle . Some will never come back, and I unfortunately think that it will never be the same. I never take any day for granted that I have my health, and that I’m still working, doing what I love to do!
I wish that could be the case for everyone!

In my personal life all is pretty good! I have my two great horses, Ram and my new horse Dzeko. Dzeko is owned by me, Robin Cathey, and Cory Walkey. Thanks to their support I now have him in my barn!! It’s a lovely gelding that I was hoping to show successfully in Grand Prix this season. Not sure when that will be???
I’m getting much appreciated help from Steffen Peters here at Arroyo Del Mar, San Diego, and I’m very inspired by him and thankful for his great help!!!
Ram is doing well!! He is a solid small tour horse, and is working his way up to Grand Prix. It's a fun journey, but still a bit to go, before he is ready to show on that level!
I have nice hard working clients, and I’m back to doing clinics again, so hopefully things can go back one day!

Anna, my Best Beautiful Anna Blomdahl. My best friend that has been with me for almost 20 years, is moving back to Sweden. She has a wonderful husband, Paul, one of a kind, and two lovely children, Isabelle and Oliver, and they are all leaving. How sad is that???
Not only was Anna the best working student. She then became my personal groom and assistant, and now a great horse women, rider and trainer! Anna is also the one that takes ALL the most perfect pictures, and has done it for so long. She has the best eye, and would do super as a photographer! You have to have talent to capture the moment when it’s there. Anna has that skill! So to kiss Anna and her beautiful family goodbye will be a hard one! I wish her all the best of everything in her journey of life!!!

To speculate what will happen from here when it comes to shows, clinics, events and all the rest, has the same question marks for all of us! I will continue to ride, train, teach, just hoping that we all will do our best to be safe and stay safe. Social distance, face mask, wash our hands….and….. This is not a joke! But life has to go on!
I hope I can stay in touch one way or the other, but please send me an old safe email: mrosencrantz@hotmail.com, when you need to get hold of me, or call 310 629 2279. there are so many places today where I get mail/messengers that sometimes I find it  loooong after it was sent.
Good luck to All of you, in whatever you are doing! One day……

Best wishes,

Mette
