Not only was it fun to be going to the National Finals in Gladstone but from there also to ride in the Nations Cup in Denmark and then in Sweden under the American flag representing the United States. I have been waiting for this to happen for such a long time but not before you are good enough you get a ticket to go. I have worked very hard for so many years and had a desire to make this happen and finally I did it! At one of the shows I had some people approach me and gave me a job offer that I couldn't refuse but of course I had to think about it first. It was not an easy decision to make but I felt it was time for a change. As long as there is wind I have to fly.
So after working at the same place for 27 years I have closed my business as of August 1st of 2017. And it is with sorrow in my heart I will leave Mill Creek Equestrian Center but still looking forward to taking my horses and dogs to a beautiful facility outside Montreal. I will train the owner of the barn with her beautiful horses on a higher level as well as riding some of them. I also bring my own tree super horses Marron, Ramour and Fuego and I hope they will all be ready for the season at Wellington, Florida where will we spend the winter season.
This is not an easy decision, I'm a California girl at heart and soul, having so many clients and friends that I'm leaving behind for now but you never know what will happen in the future! Thank you for all support from all of you!! Team Mette will keep you posted!
